Inditex’s home-décor concept Zara Home said it is unveiling Zarahome.com in the U.S. on Tuesday.

New York -- Inditex’s home-décor concept Zara Home said Tuesday it is unveiling Zarahome.com in the U.S. on Tuesday.

The new e-commerce site will feature home textiles as well as select furniture, tableware, cutlery and decorative accessories.

Zara Home currently operates in 32 countries with more than 325 stores and offers e-commerce in 18 countries.

Esprit Holdings Limited said it has named Jose Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez as its new group CEO and executive director, effective September.

Hong Kong -- Esprit Holdings Limited said Tuesday it has named Jose Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez as its new group CEO and executive director, effective September.

Martinez was previously group director of distribution and operations for Inditex. Prior to that, he was the country manager for the Zara brand across Scandinavia.

He succeeds Ronald Van Der Vis.

Zara, part of Spain’s Inditex Group, has opened its biggest U.S. location, a 32,000-sq.-ft., three-level flagship on a primo stretch of Manhattan real estate: Fifth Avenue at 52nd Street. The store is part of a 90,000-sq.-ft. retail condominium that also houses Hollister and Uniqlo flagships.

Fashion retail Zara, an Inditex brand, on Thursday will officially open its largest U.S. store – on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan – designed with the latest advancements in sustainability.

New York City -- Fashion retail Zara, an Inditex brand, on Thursday will officially open its largest U.S. store – on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan – designed with the latest advancements in sustainability.

The new store, in the Tishman Building (666 Fifth Avenue, at the intersection of 52nd Street), features a three-floor layout that reflects an innovative approach to interior design. The shop opens onto Fifth Avenue and 52nd Street with five display windows and a dramatic façade.

Spanish fast-fashion retail giant Zara has chosen Schimenti Construction Company to build its new flagship at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The 39,000-sq.-ft. store is located in the former home of the NBA Store.

Ridgefield, Conn. — Spanish fast-fashion retail giant Zara has chosen Schimenti Construction Co. to build its new flagship at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The 39,000-sq.-ft. store is located in the former home of the NBA Store.

“We have begun the first phase (demolition and structural work) of the project which has included lowering the second floor to provide a higher ceiling and installing new steel beams,” said project executive Joseph Schimenti.

New York City -- Spain’s The Inditex Group of Spain will pay $400 million for a flagship Zara retail store at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, who cited people familiar with the matter, the transaction is one of the largest retail condominium deals ever. Zara bought out a 32,000-sq.-ft. lease from former occupant NBA store, which had less than three years remaining, according to the report.
