In a Tumblr blog post signed by Jay Rossiter, senior VP, Platforms and Personalization Products of Yahoo, the company said that upon discovery, it took immediate action to protect users, prompting them to reset passwords on impacted accounts.

Seattle – Brad Smith, president and CEO of Intuit Inc., has joined the board of directors of Nordstrom. Smith, who has been with Intuit since 2003, was named president and CEO in 2008. Prior to joining Intuit, Smith held sales, marketing and management roles with companies including ADP, PepsiCo, Seven-Up and Advo. He is also a former director of Yahoo.

Starbucks on Wednesday launched an in-store digital network for customers with mobile devices, in a partnership with Yahoo.

Seattle -- Starbucks on Wednesday launched an in-store digital network for customers with mobile devices, in a partnership with Yahoo.

The network will provide customers with six channels: News, Entertainment, Wellness, Business & Careers, My Neighborhood and Starbucks. It is powered by free WiFi and developed for screens big and small. Customers with WiFi enabled laptops, tablets or smartphones can visit the network while in line or while enjoying their favorite beverage in the cafe.
