Cabela's Inc. said that it plans to build a 50,000-sq.-ft. store in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It will be the anchor tenant in the new Grasslands Shopping Centre being developed in Regina.

SIDNEY, Neb. -- Cabela's Inc. said that it plans to build a 50,000-sq.-ft. store in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. It will be the anchor tenant in the new Grasslands Shopping Centre being developed in Regina.

The new store, which will be the retailer's fourth location in Canada, is expected to in fall 2013 or spring 2014. The company will open a store in Rogers, Ark., on Aug. 30, and Union Gap, Wash., on Oct. 4.

Cabela’s Inc. announced today plans for two new stores, including its first-ever locations in Virginia and Delaware.

Sidney, Neb. -- Cabela’s Inc. announced today plans for two new stores, including its first-ever locations in Virginia and Delaware. Construction is expected to begin on the new locations in 2013, with the stores expected to open in 2014.

Cabela’s said it will build an 85,000-sq.-ft. store in The Falls, a new retail development in Bristol, Va., that will accommodate about 1.5 million sq. ft. of retail space.

In Delaware, the company will open a 100,000-sq.-ft. store adjacent to Christiana Mall, in Christiana.

Cabela’s Inc. reported that net income for the first quarter rose a record 62% to $28.8 million, from $17.8 million last year.

Sidney, Neb. -- Cabela’s Inc. reported Thursday that net income for the first quarter rose a record 62% to $28.8 million, from $17.8 million last year.

Revenue increased 6.3% to $623.5 million, and same-store sales increased 4.2%.

"This strong performance gives us confidence our growth strategy is working and working well," said Tommy Millner, Cabela's CEO.

Sidney, Neb. -- Cabela’s Inc. reported Thursday a fourth-quarter net income of $69.8 million, compared with $66.3 million last year. The company also announced plans to open a smaller-sized format, called Cabela’s Outpost Store, designed for markets with less than 250,000 people.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011, Cabela’s revenue, increased 5.4% to $983.7 million, and same-store sales rose 1.7%. Retail store revenue increased 9.8% to $525.6 million.

Sidney, Neb. -- Cabela’s Inc. announced the signing of a new credit facility with a consortium of financial institutions led by U.S. Bank.

The new $415 million, five-year credit facility replaces Cabela’s existing $350 million, five-year agreement signed in 2007. Additionally, the new facility may be increased to $500 million subject to certain terms and conditions.

The 63,265-sq.-ft. center includes national retailers such as Safeway, CVS/pharmacy, Verizon Wireless and McDonald’s.
