Brandon Solano, 43, has been named senior VP of marketing of The Wendy’s Company. Solano will report to Wendy's chief marketing officer Craig Bahner and will lead the company's brand marketing efforts.

Dublin, Ohio - Brandon Solano, 43, has been named senior VP of marketing of The Wendy’s Company. Solano will report to Wendy's chief marketing officer Craig Bahner and will lead the company's brand marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Wendy's, Solano served three years as VP of franchise development at Domino's, leading retail store expansion, global retail re-imaging and franchise recruiting. From 2008 to 2011, Solano spearheaded product innovation at Domino's. Prior to Domino's, Solano served as marketing director for The Hershey Company.

The Wendy’s Company announced the sale of 70 restaurants in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex to Texas-based MUY Hamburger Partners, a Wendy's franchisee.

Dublin, Ohio -- The Wendy’s Company announced the sale of 70 restaurants in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex to Texas-based MUY Hamburger Partners, a Wendy's  franchisee. The transaction is designed to promote new restaurant growth and reimaging, while generating a more predictable revenue stream for the company.

The Wendy's Co. announced Tuesday an agreement with The Eljuri Group to develop 20 Wendy's restaurants in Ecuador.

Dublin, Ohio -- The Wendy's Co. announced Tuesday an agreement with The Eljuri Group to develop 20 Wendy's restaurants in Ecuador.

As the largest business group in Ecuador, Eljuri said it expects to open the first two Wendy's locations in 2013 in Guayaquil, a coastal city with a population of 2.3 million people.

Wendy’s is getting a makeover. On Feb. 25, the company will unveil its new, more contemporary-looking logo in advertising, on product packaging, crew uniforms, new restaurant signage, menuboards and digital assets.
