RCS Real Estate Advisors said it has been retained by Diamond Wireless, a mall-based retailer and one of six National Premium retailers for Verizon Wireless, to provide advice and performance analysis to the retailer in the management of its real estate portfolio.

New York -- RCS Real Estate Advisors said Tuesday it has been retained by Diamond Wireless, a mall-based retailer and one of six National Premium retailers for Verizon Wireless, to provide advice and performance analysis to the retailer in the management of its real estate portfolio.

As Diamond Wireless continues to expand nationally, RCS said it is charged with ensuring that Diamond’s current and future site selections, which include both inline stores and kiosks, deliver the highest and best value and efficiencies available in the mall marketplace today.

Verizon Wireless said that its green retail store design has achieved pre-certification in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Volume Program.

Basking Ridge, N.J. -- Verizon Wireless said Tuesday that its green retail store design has achieved pre-certification in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Volume Program. 

Verizon Wireless is one of only eight retailers in the United States and the only wireless company to achieve pre-certification from the USGBC, according to the company.

Atlantic Street Capital, a private equity firm investing in the lower middle market, acquired Z Wireless in 2011.

RadioShack Corp. reported Tuesday that profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 plummeted to $300,000, compared with earnings of $46 million in the year-ago period.

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. reported Tuesday that profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 plummeted to $300,000, compared with earnings of $46 million in the year-ago period. The retailer cited the transition from T-Mobile offerings to Verizon Wireless as a major reason for the performance decline, although that was offset somewhat by new mobile service and sales centers in Target stores. The company launched Verizon Wireless in more than 4,400 stores on Sept. 15, as well as ramped up its Target Mobile centers rollout in the same period.

Terms of the agreement between Verizon Wireless and American Express have not been revealed. Verizon’s Serve online payment service is based on pre-funded accounts, and it enables online transactions without entering a credit card number.

Dallas -- RadioShack Corp. reported Tuesday that net income for the second quarter dropped to $24.9 million from $53 million in the year-ago period. Sales decreased to $941.9 million, compared with $962.3 million a year earlier. Wall Street expected sales of $1.03 billion.

However, analysts responded positively to RadioShack’s news that it had signed a deal with Verizon Wireless to sell its postpaid and prepaid wireless products and services beginning Sept. 15, supplanting its current program with T-Mobile.
