Covington, La. — Stirling Properties and JCH Development have closed on land acquisition and development financing for Magnolia Marketplace, a 106,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in New Orleans at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Toledano Street. First NBC Bank of New Orleans provided financing for the project.

Sam’s Club will join the tenant lineup at Stirling Bossier Shopping Center in Bossier City, La., according to an announcement by Stirling Properties.

Covington, La. — Sam’s Club will join the tenant lineup at Stirling Bossier Shopping Center in Bossier City, La., according to an announcement by Stirling Properties. Construction of the new club store is underway. It is scheduled to open in the summer of 2014.

Stirling Properties has opened a new office in downtown Mobile, Ala.

Covington, La. — Stirling Properties has opened a new office in downtown Mobile, Ala. The company’s first location in the state, the new office joins 11 others located in Louisiana and Mississippi, further strengthening Stirling’s presence in the Gulf South.

“This office will not only serve the surging market and growing economy of Mobile but also anchor the eastern side of the Interstate 10 corridor for Stirling Properties,” said Marty Mayer, Stirling’s president and CEO.

Stirling Properties has opened the Mid-City Market in New Orleans, the firm’s largest group-up retail development in the city.

New York -- Stirling Properties has opened the Mid-City Market in New Orleans, the firm’s largest group-up retail development in the city. A 54,390-sq.-ft Winn-Dixie anchors the 108,763-sq.-ft. shopping center. Stirling estimates that the center will generate annual retail sales of more than $61 million.

Marty Mayer, president and CEO of Stirling Properties, won election as VP of the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Southern Division at RECon in May.

Covington, La. -- Marty Mayer, president and CEO of Stirling Properties, won election as VP of the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Southern Division at RECon in May.

As a divisional VP, Mayer will also sit on the Government Relations Advisory Committee. In addition, he currently serves on the Executive Committee of ICSC’s Worldwide Board of Trustees.
