Four new retailers to open at Southpark at Cinco Ranch

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Houston to four new merchants at Southpark at Cinco Ranch, a 203,000-sq.-ft. ground-up development in Fort Bend County.

Construction began in February on the neighborhood center, which has anchor openings scheduled for December 2012 and is 84% preleased.

Dick’s Sporting Goods to anchor Southpark Mall in former Dillard’s space

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties said that Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a new store at Southpark Mall in Richmond, Va.

Richmond, Va. -- Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties said Thursday that Dick’s Sporting Goods will open a new store at Southpark Mall in Richmond, Va.

The existing Dillard’s location will be redeveloped into the new 56,000-sq.-ft. Dick’s store as well as a selection of specialty stores and restaurants. Construction is scheduled to begin in October with a grand opening slated for summer 2013.

Regency Centers announces ground-up development in Houston

Shopping center owner Regency Centers said Thursday that it has launched construction on Southpark at Cinco Ranch, a 260,000-sq.-ft. neighborhood center anchored by Kroger, in Fort Bend County, Houston.

In partnership with Excel Commercial Real Estate, Regency Centers began construction of the center’s first phase on Feb. 20, with anchor openings scheduled for fourth quarter 2012.

Brooks Bros. opens at Phillips Place

Lincoln Harris, which handles the leasing and management for luxury retail center Phillips Place, said that Brooks Bros. has moved from its current location in SouthPark Mall, in Charlotte, N.C., and opened a new store in Phillips Place.
