Staples adding Ryder natural gas vehicles to fleet

Ryder System announced that it and Staples have agreed to add 10 heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) tractors to Ryder’s dedicated fleet servicing Staples.

Miami -- Ryder System announced that it and Staples have agreed to add 10 heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) tractors to Ryder’s dedicated fleet servicing Staples. The tractors -- the first of their kind used in Staples’ third party dedicated operations -- will replace ten diesel tractors currently used by Ryder for Staples, and have been made available through Ryder’s natural gas vehicle project agreement with the San Bernardino Associated Governments in Southern California.

Fresh & Easy adds natural gas vehicles to its fleet

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has added 25 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles to its distribution fleet as part of a partnership with Ryder System.

El Segundo, Calif. -- Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has added 25 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles to its distribution fleet as part of a partnership with Ryder System. The new vehicles produce 20% to 30% less emissions than comparable diesel vehicles and are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to reduce emissions.

Supervalu to sell logistic control unit to Ryder System

Supervalu has reached an agreement to sell its Total Logistic Control subsidiary to Ryder System for an undisclosed amount.

New York City -- Supervalu has reached an agreement to sell its Total Logistic Control subsidiary to Ryder System for an undisclosed amount.

The subsidiary provides logistics and supply chain management solutions to manage distribution, warehouse and transportation operations for food, drink and packaged-goods companies.
