Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack is partnering with Maker Media to offer a line of exclusive DIY electronics products such as robotics, kits and tools. The cobranded product line, which includes items such as moldable plastic and youth robotic and remote control hobby kits, will be available in the fall.

"DIY is part of RadioShack's DNA," said Dawn Callahan, VP of merchandising, RadioShack. "We're grateful to be part of a wonderfully loyal community of makers, and we listened when they told us how we can help bring their ideas to life."

RadioShack will start offering a tailored assortment of consumer electronics products in college stores operated by NACSCORP, a subsidiary of the National Association of College Stores, this fall.

Fort Worth, Texas – RadioShack will start offering a tailored assortment of consumer electronics products in college stores operated by NACSCORP, a subsidiary of the National Association of College Stores, this fall. A five-year agreement will establish branded RadioShack sections within college stores that offer both branded and private label electronics products and accessories.

Through this arrangement, RadioShack will have direct access to customers of roughly 4,000 college stores around the country.

A former store manager is suing RadioShack Corp. with claims the chain has been failing to pay overtime wages for the past three years.

Fort Worth -- A former store manager is suing RadioShack Corp. with claims the chain has been failing to pay overtime wages for the past three years. Bloomberg reports that David Verderame filed suit in Philadelphia seeking at least $5.8 million in unpaid overtime wages for all Pennsylvania RadioShack employees. On Thursday, RadioShack had the suit moved to U.S. District Court due to the size of the alleged damages.

RadioShack Corp. on Tuesday reported a bigger-than-expected first quarter loss on weak sales of wireless phone contracts.

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. on Tuesday reported a bigger-than-expected first quarter loss on weak sales of wireless phone contracts. The company also reported that it is updating its brand and will begin remodeling select locations with a new look and feel over the next few weeks.

Joseph C. Magnacca, a former Walgreens executive who became CEO of RadioShack in February, remarked on the initial priorities and initiatives underway. Last week, he named a new chief marketing officer and a new SVP store concepts.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the past two months or so have seen an unusually high level of turnover at the top? It's gotten so that you need a scorecard to keep up with all the comings and goings, as chief executives are forced out, jump ship, retire or move on.

This year's changing of the guard is bittersweet because it includes the retirement of two veteran retailers, Steve Burd of Safeway and Maxine Clark of Build-A-Bear Workshop.

RadioShack Corp. reported a greater-than-expected net loss of $63.3 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a profit of $11.9 million a year earlier.

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. reported a greater-than-expected net loss of $63.3 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a profit of $11.9 million a year earlier.

Total sales edged down to $1.3 billion compared to $1.39 billion last year. Comparable-store sales fell 7%, hurt by a decline in the performance of its postpaid wireless business.

RadioShack Corp. said CEO James Gooch has agreed to step down from his position, effective immediately.

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. said CEO James Gooch has agreed to step down from his position, effective immediately. The company did not specify a reason for his departure. Gooch was appointed CEO in 2011 and has been working to boost stagnant sales.

RadioShack said its board is conducting a search for a successor and would not rule out internal candidates. In the interim, executive VP and CFO Dorvin Lively will serve as the acting CEO.

Cybermart, an affiliate of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., and RadioShack will open their first location in Shanghai in July. Additional locations are planned for mainland China, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
