Simon Property Group, SmartCentres and Calloway REIT hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday to begin the construction of Premium Outlets Montreal, the second Premium Outlet Center in Canada.

Montreal -- Simon Property Group, SmartCentres and Calloway REIT hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday to begin the construction of Premium Outlets Montreal, the second Premium Outlet Center in Canada.

The first phase of Premium Outlets Montreal will open in the fall of 2014 and will feature more than 80 upscale stores within the planned 366,000 sq. ft. center.  

Montreal follows the successful opening of Toronto Premium Outlets in August 2013, Simon and Calloway's first outlet center in Canada.

Shinsegae Simon, a joint venture between Shinsegae Group and Simon Property Group has announced the grand opening of Busan Premium Outlets, its third Premium Outlet Center in South Korea.

Busan, South Korea — Shinsegae Simon, a joint venture between Shinsegae Group and Simon Property Group has announced the grand opening of Busan Premium Outlets, its third Premium Outlet Center in South Korea. The first two are located in Yeoju and Paju.

The new center is located on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula and features 180 outlet stores. Fashion brands include Coach, Ermenegildo Zegna, Isabel Marant, Jill Stuart, Marc Jacobs, Roberto Cavalli and Vivienne Westwood.

Simon Property Group, along with Calloway REIT and SmartCentres, have announced plans to develop their second Premium Outlet Center in Canada.

Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group, along with Calloway REIT and SmartCentres, have announced plans to develop their second Premium Outlet Center in Canada. 

The center will be located in the Town of Mirabel, Quebec, approximately 20 miles north of Montreal.  The project, called Montreal Premium Outlets, is a joint venture between Simon, Calloway and SmartCentres. Simon will own 50% of the project.

Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group said Wednesday that, in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., it began construction of Shisui Premium Outlets (Shisui Town, Inba District, Chiba Prefecture), the ninth Premium Outlet Center in Japan.

Phase I, comprising 234,000 sq. ft. of GLA, is scheduled to open in spring 2013 with approximately 100 stores, including international brands, Japanese brands and restaurants. Simon owns a 40% interest in the project.

Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group announced that, in 50/50 partnership with Genting Berhad, it has opened Johor Premium Outlets, its first Premium Outlet Center in Southeast Asia.

The center encompasses 173,000 sq. ft. of GLA featuring 80 stores and is strategically located in Johor Bahur, Malaysia. A grand opening celebration will take place on December 11.

Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group and Toronto-based Calloway Real Estate Investment Trust announced they will develop the first Premium Outlet Center in Canada.

Toronto, Ontario  — Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group and Toronto-based Calloway Real Estate Investment Trust announced they will develop the first Premium Outlet Center in Canada. 

The center will be located in the Town of Halton Hills, Ontario, just 15 minutes outside of Toronto. Construction is slated to start in spring 2012.

Simon Property Group announced that, in partnership with Shinsegae, it has opened Paju Premium Outlets, its second Premium Outlet Center in South Korea.

Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group announced that, in partnership with Shinsegae, it has opened Paju Premium Outlets, its second Premium Outlet Center in South Korea.

The 328,000-sq.-ft. center houses 160 stores, including international and domestic brands. Strategically located in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, the center is approximately 50 minutes northwest of downtown Seoul.
