PBteen to open five holiday pop-up shops

Pbteen, a division of Williams-Sonoma, plans to open five pop-up stores in the Durham, Cincinnati, Edina, Houston and Miami areas this October and November.

San Francisco -- Pbteen, a division of Williams-Sonoma, plans to open five pop-up stores in the Durham, Cincinnati, Edina, Houston and Miami areas this October and November.

The stores will showcase PBteen’s new holiday gift assortment, including gadgets for guys and girls, fur-inspired bedding and lounge seating, jewelry and beauty storage and accessories.

Katherine Hooker London opens NYC pop-up

British fashion retailer Katherine Hooker said she will debut her latest collection of coats and jackets this October with the opening of a U.S. pop-up shop in New York City beginning Oct. 5.

New York -- British fashion retailer Katherine Hooker said she will debut her latest collection of coats and jackets this October with the opening of a U.S. pop-up shop in New York City beginning Oct. 5.

The Soho shop is located at 436 West Broadway and will run through Oct. 14. The shop is Hooker's only brick-and-mortar retail presence outside of her flagship in London's Chelsea neighborhood.

Staffing pop-up locations

With the proliferation of pop-up stores around the country, it only makes sense that companies would begin to evaluate the kinds of staffing needed for these temporary retail environments.

With the proliferation of pop-up stores around the country, it only makes sense that companies would begin to evaluate the kinds of staffing needed for these temporary retail environments. After all, personnel well-suited to a permanent store may not be the best fit for a pop-up.
