Stamford, Conn. -- Online retailer Bluefly, which sells discounted brand name apparel and accessories, has selected Pitney Bowes to help expand its global reach.

The retailer is using Pitney Bowes's global ecommerce software and international shipping services to help offer a seamless and convenient cross-border purchasing experience for consumers. Pitney Bowes will handle global shipping, including customs, taxes and pricing.

Among Americans who purchased a product that required shipping this year, 80% consider shipping options, including free shipping, to be an important factor in their overall shopping experience, according to a recent survey commissioned by Pitney Bowes Inc.

The survey found free shipping is by far more important to Americans surveyed over fast shipping (77% versus 19%).

Quick Response (QR) codes are gaining increasing acceptance among consumers in North America and Europe, particularly among younger consumers, according to a new research report commissioned by Pitney Bowes.

Stamford, Conn. -- Quick Response (QR) codes are gaining increasing acceptance among consumers in North America and Europe, particularly among younger consumers, according to a new research report commissioned by Pitney Bowes.

QR code usage as reported by more than 5,000 consumers surveyed stands at 15% on average and at 27% for consumers 18 to 34 years old, according to “QR Code Use” study.
