DDR Corp. announced that CEO Daniel B. Hurwitz will be leaving the company next year, as he and the board agreed not to renew his employment agreement, which expires December 31, 2015.

Beachwood, Ohio -- DDR Corp. announced that CEO Daniel B. Hurwitz will be leaving the company next year, as he and the board agreed not to renew his employment agreement, which expires December 31, 2015.

According to DDR, Hurwitz is expected to remain CEO through 2015 to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.

Hurwitz was named CEO on January 1, 2010, after serving as the company’s president and COO for two years prior. He has worked for DDR in various senior executive capacities since June 1999.

Men's Wearhouse has named Scott Norris as Men's Wearhouse brand and Moores brand president, and Paul Fitzpatrick has been named Jos. A. Bank's brand president.

Fremont, Calif. - Men's Wearhouse has named Scott Norris as Men's Wearhouse brand and Moores brand president, and Paul Fitzpatrick has been named Jos. A. Bank's brand president. In addition, Jim Thorne was named executive VP direct sourcing.

All three will report to Mary Beth Blake, the company's president and chief merchandising officer.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is reportedly claiming that comedian Tracy Morgan was not wearing a seat belt when a truck driven by one of its drivers struck a vehicle Morgan was traveling in on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, critically injuring Morgan and killing one of his fellow passengers.

In its latest management shakeup, American Apparel has named Scott Brubaker as interim CEO, effective immediately.

Los Angeles -- In its latest management shakeup, American Apparel has named Scott Brubaker as interim CEO, effective immediately. He replaces John Luttrell, who is resigning. Luttrell took the reins of the troubled company in June after the board removed controversial founder Dov Charney from the top spot for alleged misconduct. He also served as CFO.

Brubaker, 43, is a managing director at consulting/turnaround firm Alvarez & Marsal, and has handled interim leadership jobs for specialty retailers, including Eddie Bauer, in the past.

In addition, the tech giant announced it will open its first flagship location, on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The location, currently home to a Fendi shop, is just a few blocks south of an Apple store.

New Albany, Ohio – A federal judge has reportedly rejected an Aug. 29 settlement of a lawsuit over the pay received by co-CEO Michael Jeffries. According to Reuters, U.S. District Judge James Graham in Columbus, Ohio, said shareholders belonging to the City of Plantation, Florida Police Officers' Employees' Retirement System, who challenged the $140 million in pay and additional travel expenses Jeffries has received since 2007, give up too much in the settlement.

Indianapolis - The Finish Line Inc. failed to meet Wall Street expectations for profit and sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2015, amid higher costs and expenses and disappointing sales of basketball shoes. For the period ended Aug. 30, the company posted earnings of $26.2 million, down from $26.5 million in the year-earlier period.

Net sales rose 7% to $466.9 million from $436 million, well below analyst predictions of $478 million. Same-store sales climbed 1.5%.

Philadelphia -- In a surprise announcement, The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack said that its president, CEO and director Mike Odell has resigned. Director John Sweetwood was named interim CEO, effective immediately, while the company searches for a permanent CEO.

The departure of Odell, who was appointed CEO of Pep Boys in fall 2008, comes weeks after the auto-parts and service company reported a loss for the second quarter, which it credited to declines in its tire and do-it-yourself segments.
