Cullinan grand-opens The Levee District

Cullinan Properties announced it has officially opened its Levee District at East Peoria Downtown, in Peoria, Ill.

Joining anchor stores Costco, Target, Gordmans, ULTA Beauty and Ross Dress for Less at the shopping center are Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Potbelly Sandwich Shop, both slated to open this summer.

GNC will open a new store on May 8 at The Levee District, which encompasses over 86 acres that will include 500,000 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, as well as office, hotel and civic components.

Ross to open urban store in mixed-use center

Cullinan Properties Group, developer of the East Peoria (Ill.) Downtown development, said that Ross Dress for Less will open a 25,000-sq.-ft. junior-anchor store at the mixed-use project, joining previously announced Target, Costco, Ulta and Gordman’s.

MassageLuXe opens at Streets of St. Charles

MassageLuXe joins Streets of St. Charles Dental and the first Five Guys Burgers & Fries location in St. Charles County. Opening soon are two full-service restaurants that are new to Metro St. Louis -- Tucanos Brazilian Grill and Prasino.

Target to open store in East Peoria, Ill.

Target Corp. said it will open a store in East Peoria, Ill., in March 2013.

Minneapolis -- Target Corp. said it will open a store in East Peoria, Ill., in March 2013.

The store will be part of the 86-acre East Peoria Downtown development. This will be the first Target store in East Peoria.

New tenants announced for East Peoria Downtown

Cullinan Properties, developer of the East Peoria Downtown shopping center, hosted a ceremonial ‘Steel Raising’ event last week to mark the development of the Peoria project.

Art Institute of St. Louis to open at Streets of St. Charles

Peoria, Ill.-based Cullinan Properties announced that The Art Institute of St. Louis has signed a lease and will be opening a school at the new Streets of St. Charles mixed-use development, with classes scheduled to begin in July.

Nurses in Walgreens’ Take Care Clinics in Illinois forming union

The Illinois Nurses Association announced Thursday it has agreed to represent the approximately 180 nurse practitioners who work in the Take Care Clinics in the Chicago area, Rockford and Peoria.

New York City -- The Illinois Nurses Association announced Thursday it has agreed to represent the approximately 180 nurse practitioners who work in the Take Care Clinics in the Chicago area, Rockford and Peoria. Walgreens operates 45 Take Care Clinics in Illinois.

The nurses are concerned about a pay reduction, an increase in the cost of their health benefits and other issues.

The Illinois Nurses Association has filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to form a union of nurse practitioners working at the clinics.
