Marcus & Millichap names senior associate

Los Angeles-based Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said that it has hired Derek Hargrove as a senior associate in the Houston office.

Houston -- Los Angeles-based Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said that it has hired Derek Hargrove as a senior associate in the Houston office.

In his new position, Hargrove focuses on the sale of multi-tenant shopping centers throughout southwest Texas. He also holds the title of associate director of Marcus & Millichap’s National Retail Group.

Marcus & Millichap names retail team

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has hired Joseph C. French Jr. to serve as a senior director of its National Retail Group.

New York City -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said Monday it has hired Joseph C. French Jr. to serve as a senior director of its National Retail Group. French was previously with Sperry Van Ness, where he specialized in retail property sales.

Marcus & Millichap also hired French’s team of investment specialists Thomas C. Dalzell, Schuyler Boylan and Amie Segel.

Marcus & Millichap announces promotion

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has promoted David E. Thurston to associate VP investments.

Elmwood Park, N.J. -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said it has promoted David E. Thurston to associate VP investments.

Most recently, Thurston held the title of senior associate in the New Jersey office. He began his career at Marcus & Millichap in 1999 as the regional manager of the New Jersey office.
