Loft, a division of Ann Inc., will open its first Canadian West Coast location, at The Village at Park Royal, in Vancouver, on Nov. 15.

Since its arrival in Canada last year, Loft has opened five locations across Ontario and introduced international shipping.

Ann Inc., which runs the Ann Taylor and Loft, reported that its fiscal first-quarter net income dropped 27%, as unseasonably cold weather held back sales of spring and summer clothing and led to discounts.

Loft, a division of Ann Inc., is expanding in Canada, with four new stores by the end of fall 2013.

Toronto -- Loft, a division of Ann Inc., is expanding in Canada, with four new stores by the end of fall 2013.

Loft entered Canada last November, at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto. The chain will open a store in Toronto Eaton Centrer, Toronto, in late May, followed by additional units at Lime Ridge Mall in Hamilton in July, Markville Shopping Centre in Markham in August and Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga in October.

Ann Inc. will open a 5,394-sq.-ft. Loft store in Fort Worth, Texas’s shopping, dining and entertainment district Sundance Square.

New York -- Ann Inc. will open a 5,394-sq.-ft. Loft store in Fort Worth, Texas’s shopping, dining and entertainment district Sundance Square.

The new store, slated to open in the fall in a vacant restaurant space, will join a lineup of Houston St. retailers that includes Jos. A. Bank, Pappagallo Classiques and Leddy’s Ranch.

Sundance Square unveiled plans for three new buildings to open in 2013 with retail space on the ground level of the buildings.

Grubb & Ellis Co. Said it has secured two new leases for Loft, a division of Ann Taylor Stores Corp., for a total of 10,589 sq. ft. of retail space in Marina Del Ray and Calabasas, Calif.

Newport Beach, Calif. -- Grubb & Ellis Co. Said it has secured two new leases for Loft, a division of Ann Taylor Stores Corp., for a total of 10,589 sq. ft. of retail space in Marina Del Ray and Calabasas, Calif. 

The company signed a 10-year lease for 5,420 sq. ft. at Waterside in Marina Del Ray, and 5,169 sq. ft. at The Commons at Calabasas.

The two new stores are expected to open this spring. 

Both properties are owned by Caruso Affiliated.
