American Eagle makes executive appointment

American Eagle Outfitters announced that Mary Boland has been appointed executive VP, chief financial and administrative officer, effective July 9.

Pittsburgh -- American Eagle Outfitters announced that Mary Boland has been appointed executive VP, chief financial and administrative officer, effective July 9.

Boland’s responsibilities will include finance, investor relations, merchandise planning and allocation, strategy planning, and other administrative functions. She joins AEO from Levi Strauss & Company where she most recently served as senior VP of finance for Global Levi’s.

Levi Strauss names president of global retail

Levi Strauss & Co. promoted Joelle Mahler, senior VP of Americas Retail, to the new post of executive VP of the company, and president of global retail, effective immediately.

New York -- Levi Strauss & Co. promoted Joelle Mahler, senior VP of Americas Retail, to the new post of executive VP of the company, and president of global retail, effective immediately.

Mahler will be responsible for Levi’s retail operations worldwide, including company-owned, franchise and outlet stores, along with e-commerce.

New CEO set to take reins of American Eagle Outfitters

As was previously announced, American Eagle Outfitters Inc. longtime chief executive James O'Donnell will step down Saturday and be replaced by former Levi's executive Robert Hanson.

New York City -- As was previously announced, American Eagle Outfitters Inc. longtime chief executive James O'Donnell will step down Saturday and be replaced by former Levi's executive Robert Hanson.

O'Donnell, 70, said early last year he planned to retire. Hanson was named as his successor in November.

In addition, Jay Schottenstein, non-executive chairman, has become executive chairman.
