Forever 21 signed an agreement to open a flagship in Beijing, China, one part of a plan by the fast-fashion retailer to expand into the world’s largest emerging consumer market, according to the Los Angeles Times.

New York City -- Forever 21 signed an agreement Tuesday to open a flagship in Beijing, China, one part of a plan by the fast-fashion retailer to expand into the world’s largest emerging consumer market, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Los Angeles-based chain will open a 24,000-sq-.ft. store in a multi-story mall located in Beijing’s central shopping district, Wangfujing, with additional stores set to open in Shanghai and Hong Kong, the report said.

New York City -- Fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 will open a three-level, 39,000-sq.-ft. store in Miami Beach, Fla., Women’s Wear Daily reported.

The store, scheduled to open this fall, will be located on Lincoln Road. Also heading to Lincoln Road is H&M, which plans to open a 22,000 sq. ft. in the pedestrian mall.

Fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 on Friday opened its 91,257,-sq.-ft., four-level flagship store in Manhattan’s Time Square amid much fanfare and hundreds of fans lined up around the corner to get in. Its opening makes it the largest single-brand apparel store in Manhattan.

The doors opened at 10 a.m., but many shoppers took their place in line many hours before. The store’s regular hours will be from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., allowing tourists to shop the store into the late hours of the night.
