Darden Restaurants Inc. has retained global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates to assist the company with the recruitment of its next CEO.

Orlando, Fla. - Darden Restaurants Inc. has retained global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates to assist the company with the recruitment of its next CEO. As previously announced, Clarence Otis is stepping down as chairman and CEO of Darden.  

To ensure a smooth transition, Charles A. Ledsinger Jr. has been appointed independent non-executive chairman of the board, and Mr. Otis has agreed to continue serving as CEO of Darden until the earlier of the appointment of his successor or Dec. 31, 2014.

Darden Restaurants, Inc., which operates the Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse banners among others, has completed the repurchase of approximately $900 million of the previously announced $1 billion debt retirement, leaving approximately $1.6 billion of debt on its balance sheet.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Olive Garden has begun the the roll out of a new restaurant remodel design and logo. The company, a division of Darden Restaurants Inc., is also launching an updated web experience and an online to-go platform for desktop and mobile computer users at all its U.S. restaurants.

Englewood Construction said that its restaurant group has secured a project for Macerich and Darden Restaurants Inc. that will deliver a new Seasons 52 to The Shops at North Bridge, located on Chicago’s Michigan Ave and owned by Macerich.

Chicago -- Englewood Construction said Tuesday that its restaurant group has secured a project for Macerich and Darden Restaurants Inc. that will deliver a new Seasons 52 to The Shops at North Bridge, located on Chicago’s Michigan Ave and owned by Macerich.

Englewood will perform landlord infrastructure work for Macerich at a 9,249-sq.-ft. space and then commence a build-out for Seasons 52 at the same location.

Seasons 52 is owned and operated by Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc.
