Storage Made Easy announced that the global cosmetics retailer Lush has chosen to use its Enterprise File Share and Sync solution with data stored on OpenStack Swift.


London -- Storage Made Easy announced that the global cosmetics retailer Lush has chosen to use its Enterprise File Share and Sync solution with data stored on OpenStack Swift.


Lush ran an initial two month trial with 50 people prior to moving forward with the Storage Made Easy solution. They subsequently rolled out the solution in stages, by department, first to 150 people and then on to 300 people, and then again on to 500 people.

Verizon is preparing for the fourth quarter beta release of Verizon Cloud, its new cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform and cloud-based object storage service.

New York – Verizon is preparing for the fourth quarter beta release of Verizon Cloud, its new cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform and cloud-based object storage service. With this service, Verizon hopes to combine the agility and economic benefit of a generic public cloud with the reliability and scale of an enterprise-level service, along with a high degree of control of performance.

The use of cloud-based enterprise storage and production applications, as well as enterprise spending on cloud technology, has increased in the past year to a tipping point.

New York - The use of cloud-based enterprise storage and production applications, as well as enterprise spending on cloud technology, has increased in the past year to a tipping point. According to the Verizon 2013 State of the Enterprise Cloud Report, between January 2012 and June 2013 the use of cloud-based storage grew 90% and use of cloud-based memory increased 100%, mostly due to the shift of business-critical applications to the cloud.
