Just consider the sequel being crafted by home furnishings retailer Bombay Company, which was founded in 1978 as a mail-order operation and grew to a national presence with 461 stores before filing for bankruptcy in late 2007 and closing all its U.S. locations.

Bombay & Co. Inc. has selected TD Retail Card Services, a unit of TD Bank, to create and administer its private label credit card.

Mahwah, N.J. -- Bombay & Co. Inc. has selected TD Retail Card Services, a unit of TD Bank, to create and administer its private label credit card.

Under the agreement, TD will direct all facets of the program for the Toronto-based company’s 50 stores located in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. The new Bombay & Co. credit card will offer consumers a full menu of deferred interest and equal pay programs.

New York -- Bombay Company said Kroger Co. has introduced select Bombay furniture, accessories and gifts at 180 of its stores, Furniture Today reported. 

The merchandise mix includes “mirrors, vases and novelty accents, as well as furniture pieces such as chairs, upholstered pieces, accent tables and iconic Bombay coffee tables," Bombay said in a release.
