The new features are available for subscribers who enable the digital receipts option on their accounts and enter their mPerks ID each time at checkout.

GNC Holdings announced the release of its new iPhone application and introduction to Android Market.

Pittsburgh -- GNC Holdings announced the release of its new iPhone application and introduction to Android Market. The application will follow GNC's successful entry into the smartphone marketplace with its March 2011 launch of the GNC iPhone application, which has received more than 100,000 downloads to date.

In addition to including even more mobile commerce features, the new app features health and wellness resources.

Cambridge, Mass. Hot Topic said Thursday it has teamed with mobile-based app SCVNGR to debut a mobile reward program.

The new mobile reward program will offer Hot Topic shoppers ways to save money, as well as participate in social games and challenges designed to entertain and earn points toward rewards.

"Rewards work," said Seth Priebatsch, Chief Ninja of SCVNGR. "Customers love to get out there and check-in, do challenges, earn points and unlock awesome rewards -- it's super easy, social and fun."
