Construction is scheduled to begin this summer on the Canadian outpost, with a spring 2014 opening planned. The 50,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in the Manning Town Centre in north Edmonto.

Houston -- Cardtronics announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Cardtronics Canada acquired Mr. Cash ATM Network, Lethbridge, Alberta.

The acquisition expands Cardtronics’ international presence into Canada. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The 70,000-sq.-ft. store will be built in Cabela's trademark style that showcases the best of the outdoors in a spectacular retail environment. The building's exterior will reflect Cabela's traditional store model with log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing.

The 50,000-sq.-ft. store will be Cabela’s third store in Canada, joining locations in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a former S.I.R. Warehouse Sports Store acquired and converted in 2008, and Edmonton, Alberta, to open late this summer.

Dallas -- Alliance Data Systems Corp., a provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich, announced that its Canadian coalition loyalty business has signed a national agreement with The Children's Place Retail Stores.

The agreement provides for The Children's Place to participate as a national sponsor in the Canadian Air Miles Reward Program and issue reward miles across Canada. Previously, The Children's Place launched a seven-month Air Miles pilot initiative in Alberta and British Columbia.
